Honestly invest in the pass, it is well worth your money. You get so much out of it, and the surroundings become so much easier to move around if you have it!

It was sunny and cold on my visited day. Perfect weather to see Mount Fuji from the lake. Remember that all the activities stop before 4pm. Better to come here early.

A must see lake in Hakone Valley. Be sure to stop by the Hakone Shrine to see the tori gate along the lake that's in all the photos. Motohakone on the south end of the lake has some nice restaurants and cafes.

The entire Lake Ashi area is stunning. We were there as fall weather was rolling in and we still loved it.
