Honestly, I have no stinking clue to as to why the tour boat is in a pirate ship form but I don't care because the design is the coolest I have ever seen and will ever get to ride on. The ship itself is very...More

A great way to see lake Ashi. They have 3 boats working to a schedule and the whole operation is well run. Opted for VIP seats and although it was less busy felt like there wasn't that extra money you paid for in value. Free...More

We were talked into buying a first class ticket which gave us more space and an even better view up front when crossing the lake. The views from the lake are amazing. Mt Fuji hid until we were back on the ropeway but if the...More

Lake Ashi is a place I want to return to visit for many days. Riding across the lake in Shogun style was very fun. Not a view of Fuji, but lovely views along the lake.

Three ferrys all done up as pirate ships which is great for kids but is really only a nice way of seeing the lake as part of a round trip with the rope way and Hakone buses and trains.

We took the Hakone Pirate ship. I really appreciate with the cleanliness and the hospitality of the people. We pay more for having the private space until the top of ship. So we can took many pictures and we love it.

The boats that travel over Lake Ashi definitely provide awesome views of the area. It is part of the Hakone Free Pass, so no complaints here!

I have only been to Motohakone - a good selection of shops and a great restaurant/cafe that overlooks the lake. The boat usually stops at both - so you can do both if you have the time.
