This is a very historical cemetery to visit if you are in Yokohama. It the final resting places of many foreigners since the days of Commodore Perry who first landed in Japan. It is interesting to see the tombstones of the different people interred here...More

There is a historical tour of famous people resting there by a registered guide on holiday and weekends. Also a small museum at the top of the cemetery with interesting historical background off the cemetery and Yokohama dating to 1800's.

The history behind this cemetery is amazing. Its located above Motomachi Shopping street. You can actually take a elevator located in the Motomachi train station, it will take you to the top of the station which is a small park and walk up the hill...More

The Yokohama Foreign General Cemetery is located just above Motomachi on the Bluff. It has graves of foreigners who lived and died in Yokohama since the middle of the 19th Century. The paths are well preserved and the cemetery very green. From Spring to Summer...More
