I was surprised to find out this lake was very beautiful, clean and huge. I like to enjoy the lake from a quiet side, not from the center, which you can reach by going out from stop over no#35 from the bus.

My wife and I visited this place after visiting Nikko National Park. The autumn leaves provided a range of colours to admire and the lakeside views were scenic.

It's gorgeous during autumn when Nantai-san is dotted with red, orange, green and yellow. The views from Hangetsuyama Observation Deck is especially breathtaking. It's also worth taking the boat tour when the weather is nice.

40 hair pin turns to get up and down to the falls and lake. Kegon Falls interesting. Some souvenir shops.

3 minute walk from the bus station. The lake is beautiful! There appears to be no pollution. It is pristine. There are boat tours and some water sport activities available.
