Chuzenji Lake is located in Nikko, Tochigi prefecture. Accessible by bus from JR Nikko station or Tobu Nikko station. Takes about 45 minutes but might take more time depending upon traffic conditions during weekends. The lake is very tranquil and surrounded by the mountain ranges....More

The weather was cooling and the view was simply majestic. The sky was so blue and the water was sparkling. This is a good spot to take perfect pictures of the family.

Peaceful, weathered trail among trees along the lake edge between first bus stop at Lake and Kegan Falls. Very pleasant break from city buzz. Recommended.

Things seemed to be quiet at the end of March. Parts of the trails around the lake were still snowed over and no boating options open
