If you are in Osaka, you can't miss this attraction - deer feeding and Sakura in Nara Park! Nara Park is just one hour drive from Osaka. Deer feeding is the most popular activity in Nara and deer is the city Icon. The park is...More

There was a pond near the visitor center that people like to sit down and enjoy the sun. We like to walk to the Nara park from this place, along short quiet road and into the park. There were some plum blossoms at the park...More

I'm amused by the deer. The number of deers there! They can be aggressive even if you don't have food with you (look at the picture I post). Nonetheless, they are cute and cheeky at the same time :))) a great place to find a...More

Amazing experience, if you're in Kyoto this is a must. Be careful of the deer though, they are not shy and especially not if you buy cookies for them (which you should, it was definitelyworth the 150 yen). There's also one of the worlds largest...More

As someone from the US, where there is no such thing as tame deer, I was blown away by this park. The experience of walking up to these friendly creatures, scratching their ears and chins, and feeding them tasty crackers was sublime. I don't know...More

Nara Park is huge. There are lots of deers roaming freely around the park. You can buy biscuits at 150 yen to feed them. They are cute. Children will enjoy... The park is beautiful and surrounded by 2 mountains.

Truly out of this world. When you bow to the deer, the deer bow back. There is really nothing like it in the entire world. The park itself has upwards of 1200 deer, and they're as polite as they are friendly. Get some of the...More

We visited on a Wednesday. Still a crowd there as there were several school groups visiting. The crowd thins as you walk away from the Kintetsu Nara station, which is more pleasant. Beware of the aggressive deers. I got bitten twice with bruises as lovely...More
