Biwako Otsu-kan ( Otsu Guest house of Lake Biwa ) is a water park adjacent to the Lake Biwa Yanagasaki lakeside park in the main facility. The building is due to Shinichiro renowned late Okada in the design, such as Tokyo Kabuki-za Theatre. As the "lake country guesthouse", Emperor Showa and Helen Keller, the celebrities such as John Wayne stayed, it was boasts a prestigious of Shiga Prefecture one. The old Lake Biwa hotels of 1934 building to save refurbishment, was newly born in 2002 as a cultural facility overlooking the lake. Currently, we use our many people as restaurants cafes and rental mansion. In addition, in the adjacent English garden, flowers, including roses will enjoy seasons your four seasons. Famous Lake Biwako, it is the largest in Japan, I visited during a morning near Otsu, frankly, it does not particularly struck me, a huge expanse of water, but nothing more. But of course, the largest lake in the country deserves respect.

Lake Biwa, beautiful area, and really quiet and peaceful. Nice for strolling and simply enjoying the tranquility.
