What a park! It's beautiful to walk on a sunny day. We did both, sunny and rainy/windy day. Sunny was better. Windy/rainy almost blew us away.

A big park that's great for relaxing and enjoying the lake view. The nearby cafes offer a good chilling time as well. The walk through the bridge reminds me of the walk through Arashiyama. May have to be careful of the small flies and pollen that's floating in the air though.

We went on the one day all the pine trees were releasing their pollen so there was a lot of yellow pollen in The water . Great wee spot for a walk

A short travel from the Hakata JR station. The park offer a place for one to relax, do jogging or some exercise, or hang out.

This is a family friendly parks and handicapped accessible. There is something for everyone. There is a playground, swan boats ride, cherry blossoms, picnic area and history- Fukuoka castle ruins and Najima gate. If you stay nearby, I would recommend the park for a nice jog. The park is located a 2 min walk from ohori park subway station.

This is a great place with a big lake. It's weird to see a Starbucks amidst such beautiful nature, but hey, you can either go there or not. The castle ruins are nearby and worth a stroll as well.

Ohori park is a huge waste of space and time. It serves a purpose of walking, jogging and or cycling. There is a sad playground and a Starbucks. It could be so awesome. The trees are boring and most of the open spaces are overgrown with weeds. There used to be a big homeless camp in it too. Nothing to... More

Ohori Park is ideal for stroll and logging as a couple. A coffee shop with a good view of the lake for the less active. Ideal for couples on a sunny day.

Best visited during the Cherry Blossom period. They have good stalls all over which serve hot and freshly prepared Japanese delicacies. Must try is their takoyaki! At night, they have a light show! The trees are lit and are so very beautiful. Truly a must see! Bring your picnic stuff because you can have an amazing time just sitting under... More
