We have visited many other parks / gardens around Japan and would rate the Yusentei Park as average, at best. The size of the park is surprisingly small considering the entrance fee of ¥200. I would recommend only if you have spare time and you...More

A very quite and traditional park, with no tourists. There is a cute little tea house over the lake, with nice macha tea. Bring a book and enjoy the serenity.

We visited Yusentei Park on a weekday and were delighted to share the space with a group of beautiful ladies clad in kimono. The park was built in 1754 for the original purpose of a second home for Kuroda Tsugutaka, the 6th lord of Fukuoka....More

Must visiting adventure in Fukuoka. Despite the fact that buses can be hard to find. Easier access with fukuoka traveler one day pass. Inside the park, it's very peaceful.
