Must visit while on the island. Short walk from where you arrive by Ferry Boat. Take a walk along shore line path for good views of Sakurajima.

Sakurajima Visitor Center is an information center about Sakurajia. There are interesting displays about the eruptions of volcano in the past. There is also a projection of video. It is free. So, you can visit it before your tour to Sakurajima.

Worth the visit for the information it provides but what made it even more interesting is the nice footpath close by leading to the coastline. Beautiful walk and nice views on Kagoshima.

The premises provide comprehensive, educational materials about the volcano, its history and various information. It was a nice drop by because it's right next to a beautiful promenade with free foot bath. Spend less than an hour here for the center plus the foot bath....More
