I've been before and I'll go again. Usually there are throngs of tourists, but I was passing through really early in the morning about 7am and we had the whole place to ourselves and got to explore a bit and take some great photos.

Located in front of ocean makes quite unique. The small ally with full of people's wish wood panel is also pretty. Nice to walk around

This shrine is a little different from other shrines around Japan.. Surrounded by tropical trees. and could feel the holly sprits all around the shrines.

While the surroundings are scenic, the shrine itself was just an overcrowded shrine that didn't stand out over the typical Shinto shrine...it's about the only thing on Aoshima Island though...so worth checking out if you're on the island anyway
