If you are a history buff or a Karate history buff this is a must stop on your trip. You can see the monument and location of Kyan Chotoku's home and dojo.

The river near the mangroves is great and - not that I want anyone to think I'm a lunatic - but for those people who can 'feel' or sense the presence of those no longer with us this is a place to be careful of, particularly the section near Route 58. I asked Okinawan friends about it after I visited and they said there was a very fierce battle at the river and that the apartment block next to Route 58 and the river has some 'issues' with noises, things moving etc etc. Again, I'm not a nutter nor a psychic at all but this place gave me the creeps big time!
