Good location, great views, super forest. Ornate decorations on the tombs. Not creepy, actually. Good for a nice day.

It's located in a climb with stairs and a beautiful forest. The mausoleuns are very beautiful and show how important was Date Masamune to Sendai. There's a museum too.

A must see when in Sendai. Also provides a nice view of the city. We took the Namboku line for two stops and walked from there to the mausoleum and then back to the city center, which was a nice tour.
