- Eugene FLimassol City, Cyprus37 contributionsHighly recommendAmazing experience but make sure the waterfall is not very dry. Friends went rigbt after the dry season and told us that there was hardly any water, but we went right after a rainfall and it was super. The waterfall is at level 3, but if you can physically do it and it's a good day, make sure to climb 600 stairs to level 4 (bridge) cz its the most beautiful and serene place to dive in the wells overlooking the mountain.Visited January 2024Travelled as a coupleWritten 7 January 2024
- Charlotte J29 contributionsIncredible views, well worth the walk!Had an amazing time at the waterfall, we arrived around 6pm and there were only 2 other people there. We soon had the entire waterfall to ourselves, which felt very special. There are monkeys on patrol so do keep an eye on your possessions, and another tip would be to wear water-friendly shoes! I went in barefoot which was fine until I tried getting out… the edges of the pools are naturally very slippy and I spent a good 5 minutes (much to my husband’s amusement) trying to get out! The steps take around 15-20 mins, depending on your fitness levels. My husband struggling with the humidity as we were walking up, so bear this in mind. 10000% worth the walk, as the views are second to none.Visited April 2024Travelled as a coupleWritten 11 April 2024
- MrsW007London, United Kingdom191 contributions200 steps in the heat but worth itExhausting hike but rewarded with a swim in these amazing waterfalls. It’s under an hour but 250 steps so not for the unfit. Went further to Seven Wells but came back to swim at Telega. A rocky water slide made for a fun moment with my daughter. Very slippery so take care, my friend slipped and plummeted into the pool. Watch your belongings as the monkeys are cunning and opportunistic, taking people’s rubbish they’ve diligently tied up in plastic bags, but they take those and rip the plastic to get to the scraps leaving rubbish everywhere :( Lovely lady making the best coconut smoothies I’ve had at the bottom/start of the hike which makes a delicious cold reward for your effortsVisited July 2024Travelled with familyWritten 25 July 2024

I hiked an extra half hour to check out the Seven Wells Waterfall located just north of the cable car station. The wells and the waterfall are actually two separate sights that are close from one another. Maybe it was because it was during the dry season but neither were all that impressive. The seven wells were just puddles that weren't worth the effort to hike when there are so many better spots to take a dip on the island. The waterfall area had few bigger natural pools but were way overcrowded and had too many Instagrammers in the way of the waterfall for a decent photo.

I did go in the dry season so the falls themselves were not impressive but the pools of water were good. There was a lot of them, quite a large area but it also gets busy so you'll never have the place to yourself to relax properly.
I think I passed a lot of people on the climb up, which is over 450 steps and was difficult for me, let alone older people. It could be better in the wet season if the water is flowing and maybe the rain would keep people away so you get more time to yourself to enjoy it, but I can't guarantee that for sure.

Parking fee for car is rm2, motorcycle is rm1. Facilities such prayer room still not yet completed. They have toilet and even food stalls. Be careful with your belongings as the macaque at the gate might snatch your belongings. disappointed with travelers who left behind bread with plastic wrap. Nice facility don't really have water.

In middle of nature, but waste of time and energy, not worth the steps unless you are on a fitness trip. Slippery steps as well as stones/rocks, can be a hazard. Sign board says visitors are at their own, so don’t expect any help if you are hurt.

We went from our hotel Berjaya Langkawi Resort to the 7 Waves Waterfalls first thing in the morning after breakfast.
There is also a large parking lot and a few mini shops, as well as a "snack bar" that offers three small meals and drinks. We went there twice and both times I ate sticky rice for 10 MYR. There are great fruit shakes opposite!
We then went from there to the first waterfall, Telaga Tujuh. Of course, the path is sweaty in the temperatures and high humidity, but it is really easy to walk.
As we had already been out in the morning, we were there completely alone for a short time.
The sounds of nature on the way there, wonderful.
The waterfall itself is really beautiful!
and the landscape around it too.
You can also go into the water there.
As the path from our hotel was easy to walk, we went back here a few days later and it was just as beautiful.

Climbed up nearly more than 500 steps, and it was a sorry sight. I don't recommend it for the elderly n little kids U wouldn't want to spend much time there. Rubbish strewn everywhere. No rubbish bins, so u carry your rubbish back downhill. The waterfall nearby had more water flowing, but toilets in a sorry state. Just not my cup of tea 🤗

Amazing waterfall, we had a great time there, the breeze and wind was also quite nice. The weather of the day was pretty good and windy which made the experience better. I think going during monsoon is better compared to the dry season cause you can actually see the waterfall at its full potential. You do have to climb quite a few stairs to get to the waterfall, and the topmost peak. Good luck with the climb!

Popped here after the skycab.. it's just a few mins ride away.
Walked up to the waterfall from the parking area which only took about 5 mins. It's uphill but very manageable and the walk mainly shaded. Got there midday, had some lunch at one of the stalls where we parked, lots of options for drinks, fresh coconuts etc.
Free toilets both where the stalls are and an extra set right by the waterfall. Went there in dry season so the waterfall wasn't very big, but still looked pretty, plenty of water to paddle, pools to dip in and plenty of space to sit in the shade. Wasn't too crowded early afternoon on a Saturday.
Didn't go up to the wells as I'd read somewhere that they've dried up atm so best just to stick to the waterfall. Can easily while away a couple of hours here relaxing in or out of the sun.

Hello is it possible to walk from the top of the waterfall to the sky cab?
Written 10 May 2019

Hello,
Is it obligatory to pay to go there or can we go by ourselves ?
Written 27 November 2017
How long should we need to take if we walk from the car park to the waterfall?
Is the path to the waterfall walkable?
Written 3 November 2017
As above, you should be able to get to the bottom of the falls from the car park in under 20 minutes though there are a lot of stairs.
The paths are in good condition but you will need steady feet.
Walking frames and wheeled walkers would struggle. If able though, it is worth some effort to sit in clean cool water on a hot and humid day.
Enjoy!

Are the waterfalls 'wet' all year? when we went to California we went in dry season and so all their waterfalls had dried up. we are coming to Langkawi in February? thanks
Written 13 August 2017
Langkawi is always dry and humid all year long. The water flows non stop.
Written 14 August 2017
Honestly I didn't see any kids while we were there. It's a lot of steps and a lot of walking so they may get tired and you may end up carrying them - just something to consider. I'd also recommend insect repellant and lots of water

How far trekking is involved to get to reach to the top of the waterfall?
Written 13 May 2016
couple of hundred stairs until the top of the waterfalls. I'd say a good half an hour with a few photo stops incl.
