Great food market

Great local food. I had the Nasi Lamak and satay sticks. Food was really cheap and flavoursome. There are no seats to sit and eat as most people that visit the markets are locals... read more

The night market is held every evening in a different location on the island. We went on Sunday evening, apparently the biggest one is on Friday night in Tanjung Rhu. There was a lot of food and drinks for sale but very, very few described in English so it was a bit of a guess to work out what many... More

Great local food. I had the Nasi Lamak and satay sticks. Food was really cheap and flavoursome. There are no seats to sit and eat as most people that visit the markets are locals and use it as a takeaway store so just grab a bit, eat and view the other stalls, then grab a bit more and repeat!

This market is located at different locations on everyday of the week. Its a hustling food market about 1km in length with a few clothes vendors. Plenty of locals come here and you can see why. Theres a huge variety of great street food at very cheap prices. You have to visit if in Langkawi!

The market is in different towns on various nights of the week. Saturday is Kuah, the main town on Langkawi. It's typical Malaysia / Thailand when it comes to what is on sale for tourists.......fake goods. Watches, glasses, belts, t-shirts. All high cost brands. But all fakes. Some people will love this. It will be just what they are wanting,... More

We visited the market on one of our nights in Langkawi, but didn't get the chance to visit again. The markets change location on different nights. So make sure that you get a map which shows where they are on each night. We thought that the goods on offer was limited. But the food looked fantastic.
