Would have had a fantastic view over Langkawi, but unfortunately the weather was bad. Tea is served in the tower, included in the entrance fee. Nice to spend half an hour on the... read more

WE drove past the entrance road and had time to kill so there we went up to the unknown, didn't see any one till near the top. It;s about a 13km. drive. Was late afternoon, did see several monkeys. Don;t go past the gate at the radio towers or you might get shot, that would be the exciting bit I... More

Views are spectacular but expect to pay if you want to see the views from the tower. You can drive to the "top" but if yo want the "full monty" it's 10RM per adult and 5RM per child. Don't let the "tourism speak" fool you the tea room is a couple of tea pots on a heater, yeah not much... More

If you want to take beautiful pictures of Langkawi, this is the place. Besides the view there's nothing around, so if you go by taxi, be sure to ask the driver to wait. Also, be prepared for a little cold wind out there.

There is not too much up there, mostly clouds and then you can not see too much... :D but if you pay the ticket (10 or 20RM? so not much), then you can use the elevator in the tower, sit outside on it's top and drink a free tea. This is not a big attraction, but....! Getting there is the... More

We drove up and took us about an hour from Cenang Beach. We found out that the hiking route is no longer accessible (pretty sad because I am sure they have great surrounding). Hence, the only way up is by driving. Saw few monkeys along our drive and eagles. We did not went up to the hotel's tower. However, still... More

This is not a place that tourists to Langkawi usually visit. Which is why you should visit. While Cameron Highlands and Genting Highlands are higher in elevation, Gunung Raya is probably colder during the day. The road up there is usually deserted and you get a fantastic view at certain parts. Some people say they saw hornbills and eagles. We... More
