Nice beach for couples and families. Very lively with live music, beach facing fast food chains, local eateries and cafes, and has nice walkway overlooking the beach leading to trekking paths into the mini jungle where you'll be greeted with not overly friendly monkeys. Relatively the cleanest beach in the east coast. It's ironic that you can't find a single cempedak goreng at Teluk Cempedak though, which remains the only disappointment about the place for me. 4 out 5 recommended. Unless if you want to find cempedak goreng.

A clean sandy beach, the sands not too fine grain, the provenance from the eroded granite rock.
It was raining in the morning, overcast for much of morning the late afternoon, and viola the sun peaked through the clouds.

This is a nice little cove in Kuantan, it has very nice rock formation and you can easily reach them with your family. However, I am sad to say that littering is a problem here, a combination of lack of awareness from people as well as lack of facility to throw garbage around the beach location.
I really hope the authorities will look into this issue.

Nice place to enjoy sunrise or sunset if you are in Kuantan. The beach is clean. Over the weekend, the place is quite crowded. Fastfood chains such as Mc Donalds, KFC, Secret Recipe, Starbucks are available here.

The beach looks more crowded and commercialized compared to last time i been there. But its still clean and nice beach to bath and be with family. Lots of shops and fast foods around. Ample of parking spaces.

This place gets very very busy and can become positively crowded. The monkeys have got used to having people feed them and can be rather agressive. There is a lot of litter as you'd expect from such a busy beach. There are nicer beaches in the area with much smaller crowds.
Lots of little stands selling assorted tourist tat and a very underwhelming night market at the weekend.
Not worth making a special trip to visit.

A nice lively beach particularly on weekends. Parking could be slightly difficult but as long as you are not coming at peak hours then should be ok.
Plenty of services for visitors and tourists who look for beautiful scenery

We will visit KL soon and would like to plan a day trip to TC. We are a family of 5 (2 adults, 3 kids. What is the best way to get from KL to KC? Is there a regular bus service? How much would the trip cost? Thanks in advance.

Hai Sal M...If your family like backpacking travel, taking the bus to Kuantan would be fun as the journey will take around 3-4 hrs depending on traffic but on weekdays and non-peak season, traffic on the highway is ok. As you reached Kuantan, depending on where you are staying, the hotel can arrange for transportation to Teluk Cempedak. I was told that TC is more lively after the sun sets...There will be more peddlers selling souvenirs and food carts. My suggestion - go there around 5 - 6 pm (the sun will be kinder to the skin) where your kids can spend time at the beach and later have dinner along the sidewalks. Have a great trip ya
