We had this in our back pocket in case our planned flying visit to Ipoh fell to pieces it did. We had a couple of really lovely hours here and would have stayed longer if our travel plans permitted.

The absence of casual racism regarding my skin colour but possession of Malaysian ID was a rare delight. The staff on the ticket counter were simply delightful and really helpful.

The collection and displays are wonderfully eclectic verging on eccentric. I cannot profess to entirely understanding the link to Dutch style windmills or the presence of a military police motorbike or mock up artillery piece; this would be 5 stars if there was a little more information available in BM or English, what was available seemed to mainly be in Hokkien/Mandaring which sadly I cannot read. However the children had a wonderful time feeding the turtles and fish and thoroughly enjoyed the wishing tree, learning a little more about local culture in the process. Some of the murals were particularly good too.

We will try to visit for longer next time we are near Ipoh. It was good value for money, especially at RM1 for a big bag of fish food!

Amazing place - proud to see that the tradition is treasured and being showcased to future generations. Unfortunately, the staffs at the entrance were not guest-friendly at all :(Very disappointed with their attitude and their customer service).
This place needs to be better advertised, The most beautiful /historical heritage is hidden at the end on the mountain side.

Excellent place to get a feel of how Malaysia used to be back in the 60s.
Mock ups of Malay Kampong house, traditional kitchens, utensils, household items like tvs, even a chendol store and barber shop back in the 50s.
Plus a lovely lake and a short easy walk up the natural limestone cave to look down on the whole park.
The park is clean and well maintained.
All these for rm12.

The place is nice for a day trip. Don't go on public holidays cause they are closed on any public holidays including Sundays.

Costs MYR10 for adults and I would say it's pretty worth it. The place is huge and there are many things to see. I really enjoyed the scenery and the atmosphere of the village. There's a sort of hill towards the back which requires a bit of walking up and hiking. It's not particularly tough but natural hillwater drips onto the narrow path so do be careful on your way up and more so on your way down. Fairly sufficient parking as well.

There are many things to do here. You can see a beautiful lake, caves, 3D murals, nostalgic vintages, instagrammable spots. You can feed fish and cycle here. Highly recommended.
