Majestic architecture with many intricate details. Well preserved. We only spent around 20 minutes there, so the RM$10 admission fee is considered rather pricey.

Stunningly beautiful temple. Some of the most intricate carvings I have ever seen. The small fee is totally worth it. Don't miss the museum inside which illustrates the background of the influential Khoo family.

Breath-taking tour to this astonishing temple. A historical place to be visited in Penang. Liked it very much.

It was closed when we were there during weekday around noon. Not sure whether is was really closed or we went to the wrong entrance. We did not see anyone inside so we presumed is was closed. Overall, it looks great from the outside.

The gallery that is set up with all the history of the Khoo family is very interesting. So much history. We had an Ice from the little shop in the enclave and the man behind the counter was very helpful.

This place was under rennovation when I visited. The temple was quite nice, and that's the best thing about Khoo Kongsi. It has a small museum as well, but simply explaining the background of Khoo Kongsi, and then the family tree / clansmen, and stuffs like that. As I am more interested in Penang local culture in general, I did... More

The place is under-going renovations while we are there. Went on a afternoon and we spent less than 30 minutes over here. Minimum entrance fees. Intricate cravings in the building. Can't help thinking how impressive this place looks like in the good old days. Not a must visit, could pop by if around the area.

This shows of the best mix of traditions of red and gold that the Chinese are famous for. This is not just another temple but a clan Temple showing off the best of Chinese architecture. There's also an old traditional playhouse or theatre. Unfortunately my battery died so I could not take lots of pics apart from entering. But if... More

Aside from seeing the "highly decorative" roof (on which are these ornamental pieces with intricate carvings depicting boats & such) and the "highly ornate" area under that beautiful roof where the main room is really "pretty golden" inside (with also quite-lovely paper lanterns hanging above) and where the whole exterior face (outside the main room & the two rooms on... The temple / clan house is so intricately decorated. One of the best and most beautiful that we have seen. We really liked it.
