i went with my baby boy, husband, in laws and my parents. the trail from entrance to the pool location is well kept, magnificient trees lining all way, fresh air, wood smell, a pleasant welcome for us. we chose the private pool there, costing rm15 to rm20 for 2hours (or was it 3hours? i cant remember). the 'pool' is quit... If you have a lot of free time, you can indulge yourself in the poring hot spring tubs. Else, a nature walk would be good enough in the park. Bring water all the time and light clothing is advisable as the temperature gets really humid inside the park, so prepare yourself to get sweaty *lol*. The downside is no pictures... More

More chance to see wildlive here than the main entrance of Kota Kinabalu reserve. Try to be early if you want to see wild live and do the kanope' quietly without screaming kids and parends. Around 11am the first bus loads arrive, but they don't do the longer hike. Mondays the butherfly garden is closed. Not many people do the... More

If you come to enjoy the hot spring, please come early, maybe around 07:00. We made the mistake of coming around 11:00, after a visit to Desa Farm. Entrance fee was rm3 for Malaysian adult and rm1 for those under 18 years of age. For foreigners, it was rm18/rm10. The place was simply teeming with people. All the public hot... More

We recently had a fine day at Poring Hot Springs while staying in Ranau. From Ranau, you can take a taxi out here. The park has a lot of fun activities, including a canopy walk (I'm afraid of heights but still enjoyed it), a butterfly garden, and a short walk to a little waterfall where you can have a swim... I was there recently with a group of friends for a day trip in the afternoon.it was during a weekday and we found the place to be rather quiet and peaceful. I visited this place more than 10 years ago after my climb up to Mt Kinabalu. The place has not changed at all. It is about 3-3.5 hous drive... More

Unfortunately I came here on Sunday when a tiny serene village turned into hectic and bustling place. On Tuesday when I pass on the way from Lupa Masa again peaceful village. If you come from the Mount Kinabalu park (trekking) the entry ticket is valid here. You just pay for canopy walkway, butterfly farm tropical (orchard garden). Outside tubes are... More

Arrived at the hot spring for trekking to the waterfalls there. Hot spring area itself is rather mediocre, and unappealing. However, i arrived disappointed as the Langanan Trail was closed due to safety reason. Could only visit kipungit waterfall, which was underwhelming. Do take note if you're travelling there for the waterfalls soon to call the park and check whether... More

If you like shrieking crowds, rotten egg smell and side by side concrete soaking vaults, then this is your place. If you think you will have an idyllic experience in the shadow of Kinabalu, dream on. Our tour group (Gadventures) stuck us here for two days because the mountain was closed due to the earthquake. It was a complete waste... More
