Glad to share my review with a coffee in hand sitting on a normal chair now.
I took Low's Peak Circuit, would love to recommend Mountain Torq highly for their super hospitality and professionalism. After reaching Pendant Hut, safety briefing during 3pm-4pm got me familiar with equipment and process, assigned guides to different teams, and I really appreciate they assign one guide to me even I was one person only instead of grouping me with other guests, very respectful.
On the day of doing activity, our guides were very cheerful and encouraging us to move on, very patient and took lots of good photos. On the day finished I felt tired and went to sleep after shower, didn't manage to get up for dinner and the team packed dinner for me from another hut called Laban Rata, felt so touching on this.
Pendant hut is the highest hut than any other stay place below the mountain, I believe that also brings this place the advantage of getting more solar power to heat up the water, hence I got warm shower 2 days stay there, this was rarely happen for other climbers .....Pendant hut offer sleep bag and its enough to keep me warm during night, washroom clean and tidy.
To be honest, everyone travel to Sabah to climb Mountain Kinabalu should try this activity, the highest Via Ferrata in the world and they have another route called Walk The Torq, which is shorter. But yet it depends on the health condition of you as well, just think it twice before deciding. And this activity price is definitely high, but it goes down during current special situation, I believe the price will be going up once everything back to normal, so its not a budget thing.
My very good and unforgettable memory, and it will motivate me throughout my life journey in the future.

One of the best experiences I ever had. I was fortunate enough to have an amazing guide. I enjoyed the 6 K hike with my guide Robny which was on day 1. On day 2 I followed his footsteps & pace to climb up to the summit, reaching the 4,095 summit in complete darkness to witness sunrise. We hiked down the summit to do Walk the torq ferrata with our trainer William.
This the best way to experience via ferrata if its your first to do. Thanks to William it was an exceptional experience.
After Ferrata, hiking down was so fun, cause I've done it with my guide on a high speed rock hopping style..... it was an absolute fun, unforgettable moments and beautiful memories to keep forever.
At the pendant Hut I've met a group of an amazing young men, who were so helpful and courteous.
To all those who made this trip possible, thank you. Hopefully more people will get the chance to experience the beauty of Mt. Kinabalu ^_^

I signed up for the 2D1N expedition to summit mount kinabalu and added the walk the torq experience.
I arrived at base camp and received briefing on the via ferrata experience.
The following day after summitting mount kinabalu we then did the via ferratta walk the torq. It lasted for 2 hours and was a good experience getting a chance to see different views. William the via ferrata instructor was professional and conducted himself with a smile at all times.
For those who want to just get an experience on via ferrata I highly recommend this course over the longer via ferrata on offer. Keep in mind you still need to come down the mountain to get home. For 2D1N the shorter via ferrata is recommended. I was exhausted by the end of the day. Please note 1N doesn't give you much rest. You're sharing a cabin with other people and need to wake up at 1:15am to begin the summit.

I would say they provide first class services from inquiry till the very end.
I joined Low's Peak Circuit as walk-in guest with another friend of mine who's staying at Pendant Hut. Staff are friendly. Common area is comfortable and clean. Unlimited supply of hot water, tea and coffee. Our activity guide, Jainudin did a very great job in guiding us throughout the activity. Despite the rain at the last part of the trip, he waited patiently for my friend and walked him to Pendant Hut. After the activity ended, he immediately sent us the photos too. Very efficient!
Their service did not end here. As both of us reached Timpohon Gate at about 5pm. Both Sabah Park and Mountain Torq office were closed and hence we were unable to collect the certificates. They went the extra mile to help us to collect the certificates from Sabah Park office in Kinabalu Park and send it to the Kota Kinabalu office! Very helpful of them.
I would strongly recommend anyone who likes to have some adrenaline rush to join this as part of your Mt KK climbing trip! Not only the activity is fantastic, their services are one of the best too!

Thanks MT for the amazing experience. Via Ferrata is truly an adventurous way to descent from the Low's Peak Summit to Laban Rata, our trainer James was very patient towards us because we were slow and carefully navigating the steps, he built our confidence towards the harness and safety equipment so that we can conquer our fears of slipping and falling into the valley. :P Highly recommended for those who are thrill seekers and have no fear of heights or maybe want to overcome the fear of heights.
The accommodation at Pendant Hut was also decent and clean, necessary amenities provided. The temperature there was around 6 - 9 degrees celsius, so be sure to get a good cup of hot coffee provided there in the hut.

I went as a solo hiker up Mt Kinabalu and signed up for the Low's Peak Circuit (LPC) Via Ferrata (VF). Lodging was sufficiently comfortable the night before and the briefing was informative. The guides were clear in their explanation on what we should do during the VF itself. The next day, we were assigned to teams for each and our guide James was really animated in giving tips and keeping us all entertained throughout the 4-5 hours of crawling on the mountainside.
Some tips if you plan to do the VF and especially LPC.
1. Use a water bladder. Very convenient especially when you need one hand to hold the rungs
2. Wear smooth clothing. A waterproof rain jacket and overpants is sufficient not only for in case it drizzles during the climb but also it is smooth to glide over the rough granite rockface without tearing.
3. Take a good dump before the climb. Since you will be spending more time up there than those only hiking the peak, the last thing you want happening is needing to poo during the VF.

The crew team are great. Accomodation is comfy enough for staying before Mt. Kinabalu summit attack. Eventhought we cannot complete the via ferrata due to bad weather, but the slight experience on the line is very appreciated. Will comeback soon for round 2.

I did the lows peak via ferrata circuit which was incredibly challenging particularly after the mornings summit. There were only 3 of us doing it that day and I ended up in a group of 2 with the guide. Our guide was lovely - took loads of photos and coaxed me through some of the more difficult sections. Very rewarding but also terrifying. Definitely one for the thrill seekers. Would not recommend if scared of heights

Climbing to the summit of Mount Kinabalu and the view of sunrise from there is spectacular. However, if you want the experience of really being up in the clouds, then do the Via Ferata. It allows you to hang off the mountain and get the best views possible.

I went for the shorter, Walk the Torq via ferrata in early July. I was so lucky, since I had a private tour, so my guide, Fakri focused on only me. He was so nice, helpful and took amazing photos during the activity. The weather was so great, sunny, we had a stunning view to the surroundings. There was no safety issue, all worked very well. I can definitely recommend this activity. Honestly after early morning summiting, I was so happy to choose the shorter one, since more than 6 km downhill trek were waiting for me after this 2 hr exceptional experience. :-)

I am trying to book something for March 01 to march 05 and I have been in contact with one climbing company but however their customer service leaves a lot to desire. ie not answering emails and not returning my call.
Can you offer some names?
Thanks
