Well worthy visiting for the architecture and spacious interior. Good place to watch Chinese tourists dressing up!
You don't really need to visit the inside of the Mosque, as it is a religious setting much like any other Mosques. What makes this one different is the outside portion with the view of the Mosque above water, and this is more than enough.
Its a about 10 minutes from the Center of Kota Kinabalu, but the transportation is quite hard you need to book an uber car.
I visited the mosque along with my family. I had an opportunity to perform my prayers inside the mosque and is very peaceful place. The place is very nice and the mosque looks like it is floating. It is really wonderful place to visit.
The view of the mosque is what makes it very attractive to many tourist that visit this place. Surrounded by with a pathway leading towards it makes it very attractive and not to forget the vast sea facing the moque. One of the prime attractions...More
There are far more impressive mosques in Brunei, but the City Mosque is still picturesque from the outside. Worth a quick stop and photo op.
The outside of the mosque is lovely, but we were shooed away and weren't allowed inside wearing Western-style clothing, even if our entire arms, legs, head, and hair were covered. It doesn't seem like the mosque wants to be a tourist attraction.
