Our taxi driver recommended the Orchid garden. We took a small boat for 1 MYR per person across the river and tried to walk to the Orchid Garden. This is not the best way to arrive there. It is a long and very warm walk....More

The gardens are well maintained and there are so many different types of orchid. It is a pleasant stroll round. Only downside there are no signs telling you how to get there so we spent a bit of time driving round looking for it.

Variety of orchids species and nice garden as part of activities when visiting Kuching City. Get there by boat which is also very nice and exciting.

Worth jumping on the boat to cross the river to these pretty gardens. Walked around for about 30mins. Free entry as well.

It's an outdoor garden with some covered corridors. To avoid the heat it's best to visit early in the morning or late in the afternoon. Only 5 minutes walk from the boat jetty. The orchids are quite nice but varieties are not diversified enough. Still...More

We only spent a short time here but it is free and the Orchids are beautiful. If you love photography or orchids this is heaven for you. A beautiful spot to spend a morning or afternoon.

A great collection of really beautiful orchids species found in the tropics. The garden is neatly laid out with walkways and big trees for shade. They hold orchids competition from time to time and some of the rarest orchids would be on dislay at their...More

Visited on a hot and humid day so a cold drink and ice cream at the neat cafe was welcome. Very well set out display of many orchid varieties. Impressive orchid house with vast array of orchids. Great for macro photography.

I can't remember the opening hours but definitely take a little ferry across the river and walk. It is not far at all. You can't go in but you can see the Astana and Chief Ministers residence on either side of the road. The... More
