This was an excellent day trip from Kuching - we ended up getting a taxi there and arranging a pick up time (70 ringgit each way for 4 of us) as the buses are only every 3 hours. A very friendly ranger (Dominic) at the park gave us plenty of us when we got there and we ended up doing... More

Don't let the hot Sarawak weather keep you away. It is much cooler in the forest than in the city, so you can enjoy the hike to see the different types of rainforest growth and the beautiful waterfall. The rangers at the gate were friendly and gave good recommendations of what to expect. They even showed us pictures of some... More

We decided to hike from Kubah NP HQ to Metang Wildlife Centre and it is quite easy (but not worth doing so, as described below). We took the bus from Kuching as it leaves conveniently from bus station near Mosque at 8:00 (be there earlier, however) and it costs 4 RG. After 45 minutes we arrived to NP, walked 400... More

I hate mosquitoes and flies as i'm a true blue city girl. Borrowed proper hiking boots for this from my friend and i'm really glad i did. Many parts of the trek is rather mucky and very slippery. There is a steep trek of about 1000ft upwards before you start the 1.5km trek into the rainforest to get to the... More

This park is located about 30 minutes away northwest of Kuching City. It covers most of the Mt Serapi area, a mountain that you wont miss as it is the tallest nearby Kuching. The park has a few streams with stunning waterfalls where you can dip yourself after walking more than 2 hours along pristine jungle Rayu trail or even... More

Easy to get to on the bus, makes for a nice day hike. No, the nature isn't as amazing as other parts of Borneo or Malaysia, but it is quite nice and very easy to do. There's a nicer waterfall about 30 minutes up the trail from the official waterfall part of the waterfall trail (confusing sentence, I know).

Kubah national park is a wildlife lovers paradise. The gorgeous rainforest scenery and the famous waterfall should make it a must do for any traveler to the area. We stayed 3 nights here and the place comes alive at night with frogs. The chalet accommodation is clean and affordable enough that just me and my partner had an 8 bed... More

The day we went to the park there were only 5 other visitors. We took a jungle trail towards a waterfall. Forgot the name. Along the way we saw all the other visitors returning, so eventually we had the whole waterfall for our self! A Private Waterfall! How cool is that! The trail from the parking towards the waterfall is... More

Probably 2-3 hours walk until you reach the waterfall. The waterfall is pretty as the air and water was really clean and fresh. Nonetheless, be careful with the snakes in there. We bumped into a snake in there.
