I loved the ride to this place, as well as the train ride. Since there was no narration, I asked a lot of questions after the ride, and expressed my disappointment that there was no narration. It turns out that there was quite a bit of history that we could have heard about, including that Roxbury was a hot spot... More

Nice slow scenic ride along a branch of the Delaware River. Beautiful range of colors covering the mountains. The Roxbury station "museum" was nothing to talk about, but a crew member gave me a penny the train had flattened, for my daughter. The station at Arkville station has souvenirs. As mentioned we rode in the passenger cars, not the dining... More

Went for the Fall Foliage 2-hour round-trip. Do not think you'll be getting the engine pictured above. And, Unless you are booked on a private tour, you won't get seated in the fancy Deco dining cars pictured in their brochure, either. Instead, you'll end up in one of two very old, poorly (as in virtually un-) maintained cars with access... More

Drove to the rail station for a Sunday morning ride as per their train schedule on-line. However, no one was there, the train was not going anywhere. Unreliable train schedule.

There's never a train running on this railroad. It ended up as a good spot for a picnic though. Got my money back for the tickets, but not worth the effort..

We scheduled the train trip several weeks in advance and called to verify two days ago. They had our contact information. So, 24 of us hired a bus to take us an hour each way to spend a nice time in the Catskills on this little train ride. We arrived on time and wondered why there were no people around.... More

The luncheon was complete with china, linen and great food and service. We also had a great seat in the bubble top of the car. We were unable to take a ride in the train because of a mechanical problem, were told that several engineers are working on the problem with the hope that it will be functional again in... More

A group I was traveling with was scheduled for a 2 hour 15 minute ride on Saturday, September 26 on this lovely train. The train never moved. On boarding the train, I felt like I fell into an Agatha Christie novel. It is beautiful. We had very nice tablemates from another group. The woman of the couple even wore a... More

We drove 2 hours to go on this train ride and when we got there the locomotive was not functioning properly. So the day's festivities had to be cancelled for us and 2+ bus loads of senior citizens that came there for a ride as well. It would be nice if they would have some back up equipment so the... More
