Must-go spot. Kite flying. Nice street food. Entertaining. Happening place. Delicious food at the nearby food court. Pity the A&W restaurant is one of the top spot in Batu Burok but it seems like it will no longer be there soon. Sad.

The beach here is worse than those in Port Dickson and Malacca. Dirty sands with dirty sea water. Not recommend to swim here but is a good place to fly kites as its really windy and you can find some malay food stall around the beach. Good for an evening hangout.

What I like about this beach are the stalls selling celup tepung (seafood dipped in flour and deep-fried). Food was cheap, but the stalls were not very clean. I didn't get sick from eating there though. I love the keropok lekor celup tepung (deep-fried fish sausages). Come here if you're not on a diet.

There's a large playground next to the beach which kept our 7-year old busy. Nice colours for picture taking and lots of local eateries nearby - we had breakfast at a warong just behind the hospital where pre-packed nasi lemak (ikan bilis or tuna), nasi kerabu and roti canai were served.

Many stalls in Batu Buruk Trengganu selling what they call ITC (ikan celup tepung) or flour dipped fried seafood. The only special thing about the dish is that the seafood are fresh and the price affordable. I paid RM108 for 5 person and had everything that was offered (squids, prawns, fish, keropok lekor ect). The stall where i had my... More
