love it.al.ost on a par with chefchaouen.safe to wander through dark alleys .locals so helpful .treasures and surprises around every corner.ive beenhere12days a d am still having delightful experiences here.

The Medina of Essaouira is similar to the one in Marrakeck, the main difference being that tourists are not "harassed" by shop owners. You can walk from store to store without feeling that if you enter a store you need to by something from there....More

Fun little seaside town Medina. Lots and lots of little shops to buy souvenirs. Many wood crafts, carpets, art pieces, leather and traditional dress wears. Handicrafts. Learn to haggle! Some fixed price signs but mostly you can still bargain.

It's about 2 hours from Marrakesh, costs about 1000 Dhs for private car. Ours was easily arranged by our Dar (small hotel).
