The weather was windy on the day we docked, so this place provided the perfect place to still be able to snorkel and be out of the wind and visibility impaired choppy waters. $20AU for a return trip and $10AU entry. We were advised that we had two hours to arrive back at meeting place. We have to walk in... More

We arrived on the Isle of Pines , from our cruise ship and after staying around the wharf area we decided to go to Piscine Naturelle to snorkel. A local company charged us $20 each return and it was about a 15 minute trip . The driver told us about places we passed on the way When we arrived at... More

If you visit on a cruise ship make sure you find the tour to the natural aquarium. It costs about $20 for a transfer there and back and $10AUD for entry. Totally worth it, the van only takes 8 people at a time so you will get away from the crowds on the beach. When you are dropped off you... More

Just be prepared, there are no changing rooms or toilet facilities here, they really need to provide something considering it is an amazing place, surrounded by bush, clear waters for snorkeling, a variety of coral and shellfish/fish etc to see.

A short walk from Le Meridien, this natural pool is the best snorkelling we did on Ile des Pins. The walk is pretty easy, but closed toed shoes or reef shoes are easier than flip flops

We visited this natural lagoon as part of a day tour of the Ilse of Pines when cruising New Caledonia in the South Pacific. It's a large lagoon with beautifully clean water, an abundance of colourfull tropical fish so perfect for snorkelling. It's a bit of a walk (wear reef shoes) & hidden by PInes. Well work visiting if you... More

This is the sort of place you dream about. Unique experience that we had all to ourselves for about an hour on 2 different mornings after we walked there at about 8am. Once others arrive, it's a more comfortable snorkelling experience at high tide. We had a one year old with us and it was a really safe place for... More

Beautiful water, not much snorkelling , but very unique . just walk from Le Meridien . Nice walkways around, great to bring your lunch and have a picnic . we bike from there to Oro Bay . It took us 3 hours return.

nice snorkelling, peaceful location, worth exploring close to the ocean - little tidal pools are interesting.
