There is little to see in Khasab, and this is definitely top of the list. It is a 10/15 min walk from the cruise port so don't be tempted to take the shuttle. There are several... read more

You will probably enjoy if it is the first one you have seen in the region otherwise it will be a little boring. If you have nothing else to do and there is not much around apart from swimming or camping, then go for it.

If you are in Khasab you are most likely there for a dhow cruise. If you have time, however, you should stop by the Khasab Castle. It is definitely worth a visit, although it won't take that long to go through it, maybe 30-60 minutes depending on how much time you want to linger over the exhibits. Most of the... More

We spent an enjoyable hour here. The weather was very hot but the main exhibits had air-con. Beautifully restored and very informative.

There is little to see in Khasab, and this is definitely top of the list. It is a 10/15 min walk from the cruise port so don't be tempted to take the shuttle. There are several exhibits in the courtyard and the central tower is also wheelchair accessible if you have a strong person with you to give you a... More

This is the only thing worth visiting in Khasab and it's nothing much to see...our shuttle driver arranged a private vehicle to drive us around and there were beautiful views of the mountain and the sea...everything else is so dry, hardly any trees...interesting architecture with their houses, everything is light colored, mostly the color of sand due to the heat...found the cheapest prices... Sorry my last review should have been on the castle, not the fort, It was a nice place to visit, interesting displays, spotless toilets, very important, some high steps, but amazing views over the sea.

We stopped in Khasab as part of a cruise of the Persian gulf. We had an infant in her stroller with us so we couldn't do the dolphin watching in the fjords and decided to do the Khasab castle. It is a short walk from the harbour and is easy to find. We were assisted completely free of charge by... More

This is a castle with is beautiful to see but there is not much interesting information to be giving to the guests It represents the culture of this people and town which is good to see but don't expect to stay much time here as you will not stay as there is not much to do here the staff should... Great to be able to climb up into the fort and to walk along the high walls. Loved the exhibits of how life would have been for those residing there.

a small, but well maintained castle in the centre of Khasab I have been there twice in the past 2 years and it was not busy in either occasion Entry is cheap and well worth it In the centre of the court there is a tower with a good overview of Musandam's past and present including a 10-minute video
