Khasab Castle is definitely worth a visit if you are in Khasab. The castle is beautiful and well-maintained. The exhibits provides a great deal of interesting information on khasab historical and cultural background. The entrance fee is inexpensive, and you can get the tickets at the main entrance.

Nice fort easy walkable from cruise ship port.
BUT beware of ticket office, literally tried & is overcharging visitors. At 0.5 omd he told me $6 usd, their currency comes out little over $1, & trust I made him aware of his dishonesty.
Besides that a lot of different entrances to see displayed old artifacts, definitely worth a visit and to see the roaming goats & sheep close by.

Khasab fort opposite the main harbor is a great way of spending a couple of hours. Learning about the local culture, history of khasab/Oman the finding of oil and how it changed the landscape and lives of the Arabic nations
The fort itself goes back to Portuguese occupation and shows Defence mechanisms and then how the locals lived and survived.
A great insight to local history.

We went to this as part of a guided bus tour and it was well worth the stop. It is very well preserved and sits on the coast next to the beach amongst a quite large modern community. The history of this fort is worth learning about and gives you a great insight into life as it was in those times.

I was very happy my friends, husband, and I wandered into town from our cruise ship to explore this fort on our own. Very picturesque and informative. The cost was 4.00€ per couple for admission.

Khasab fort is at the centre of the town. It has a very small museum. There are exhibits from history and a 2.5 million year old fossilized rock. The ticket price is 500 baiza for adults and 200 baiza for kids.

We enjoyed the exhibitions and we were part of a tour so no experience with ticket office. Caution is required if unsteady on feet as many uneven surfaces which is part of the character of the place. The honey moon suite the highlight

Beautiful fort. Very cheap entry for adults, free for children. Informative displays, peaceful environment. Well worth popping into for an hour or so.

Probably too late for any use of an answer... The terminal is about a 20 minute walk, I think. But watch the heat!
