Definitely worth a trip to Nizwa to see the fort and get a feel of the amazing history of the old capital that was visited by merchants and people from all over the world.

We stopped by the fort & given that it was only 500 baisa entry fee per person, figured it was a nice way to spend a few hours. There is plenty of information & exhibits while you wander around the vast complex, ending with a...More

We only had a short time to explore but the fort is well maintained, and has a lot of historical information and exhibits as well as nice views of the city from the top. Well worth stopping by.

Breathtaking fort in Nizwa, well restored and with very few tourists visiting. Great opportunity for nice pictures inside and out. Must visit indeed.

Only about an hour’s drive from Muscat, Nizwa is well worth visiting. We went for a stroll around the souk and then through the fort. All in all, very interesting.
