Stunning views during a 30 mins hiking, culminating with a relaxing swim. My suggestions for better enjoying the experience: - Take a bottle of water with you as there's no shop inside the wadi. You can probably cool off a bit the bottle by leaving it in the water for some time during the swim. - Get shoes with a... More

We went on Saturday, arriving at 12:30pm. There was a decent amount of people but not too busy. The carpark was full but people come and go often. It cost 1 OMR pp to get there and back. They said the last both is at 6:30pm (depending on daylight). You don't really need a tour guide. We followed other people.... More

We didn't arrived until midday, so it was a hot walk. The boat is a rial per person return, there is cafe at the beginning on the far side, but is just serves fizzy drinks and Nescafe, no sign of food or fruit smoothies when we were there. We didn't rush due to the heat and made it to the... More

We went in April 17 to this wadi, really nice for a day trip, you should bring your picknick. After a nice easy walk slowly upwards over stones and some irrigation channels. you reach the places where you can relax and swim. the water is refreshing and if you stand on the rocks you can see the debts and if... We have been here a few times now and visited again with friends visiting. Our group had four children aged 9-12 and four adults . As we had been before we knew to take water proof bags , you do have to swim small distances ,good trainers , plenty of water etc . Everyone loved the experience and breath taking... More

Beautiful Wadi, but what makes it special is the cave at the end. A magical place and perhaps the most beautiful spot where I've been in Oman.

We had a wonderful time at Wadi shab. Make sure you go deep enough.after roughly 1 hour you'll reach a cave (in the water) with a waterfall. Make also sure to take enough water with you.

We only had a quick visit here but a very short boat ride at the base of the bridge (1 Rial pp) takes you to a track that takes around one hour to walk (each way) which brings you to a cave in the wadi where you can swim, if you are well prepared.nwe only went about half way along... More

This is a must in Oman. Try to swim up to the nice hidden cave. The route is not very hard but some parts are slippery. However you can easily do it even with kids.

I've lived in Muscat for only three years but even in that short time Wadi Shab has changed dramatically and not for the good. When I first visited three years ago this was an easy 5* trip and a real Oasis but now it's been run over by tourists etc. I visited today and couldn't quite grasp just how many... More
