The library opened its doors in February 2012 as the first lending library in Panama. The modern 3 story stone and glass building is a distinguished addition to the Boquete landscape. Free wi-fi and computers with internet are available, while the 3rd floor art gallery features monthly displays from local artists. Check the online calendar for concerts and activities. The "new" Boquete Biblioteca is a center of community activity, frequently hosting art and photography exhibits and musical performances. Of course it's a great library too, with both English and Spanish books and a computer center. For a town this size it's a great resource!

I was here for the meeting with the US Embassy, and the library provides a great space for integrating gringo and panamanian community needs.

Remarkable building for such a small town. Square blocks with glass walls around an open staircase with a glass pyramid shaped roof. Quite modern, however there is a traditional tiled cover over the lobby area. Free internet and there is a small café inside.

The library is vibrant with local art, globally sourced books and comfortable seating to invite one to sit and read. I was delighted to see many children using the facility and also saw that a class schedule was posted for various activities.
