Yes, there were the big eels and turtles, but no birds, no bats, no butterflies. You have to bring fish for feeding the eels and banas for feeding the turtles with you.

Beautiful cold water springs. Turtles were active but the eels that the guide mentioned must have been napping and even food didn't bring them out for a visit. Interesting location with great flora in the area.

We stopped here as part of a half-day tour organized by the Melanesian Tourist Service (operating at out of Madang Resort). We're Madang residents and went along on the half-day with a local friend and another visitor. This place is interesting and you do see some wildlife. This include fish and eels in the creek, and turtles in a cave-like... More

We only saw one small portion of the park, the sulfur stream with its eels and turtles. The other strange thing here is the white algae growing in the water. We were here as part of an excursion that went to several other places. Although we didn't see much, we did like what we saw.

The cold sulfur springs make for fairly interesting viewing. The caretakers are pleasant. They'll show you where the turtles and fish live. The clear water and caves make for an attractive setting. Nice to visit if you're in the area, but not worth going out of your way for a visit.

I have visited the place a couple of times over years. Got the impression the place is getting run down... And besides feeding a few tourtles there is no much to do :(
