We had visited before in the Peruvian summer for playing in the ocean. In the winter month of June it is cold for locals but still very pleasant for us Chicagoans, although too cool for swimming or surfing. There is more debris on the beach...More

early afternoon we were lucky enough to see a fleet of fishermen in their reed boats come into shore with their catch of the day. These boats were used pre- Hispanic days and still used today. Excellent restaurants and casual restaurants options

Great place to visit but far better to look for a place to stay in Chiclayo which seems to be safer and far more amentities and nightlife.

it was nice to stay there for the afternoon, the sunset was awesome, that was the best part. the beach itself was not clean, the people leave all the garbage around but at the end all great.

If you are lucky, you may catch a beautiful sunset! A long pier for a great stroll but you have to pay to help maintain the pier. A good idea.

Decent beach but nothing to get to excited about. Walked the beach and had a good lunch at la Proa. Day trip from Chiclayo.

Best sunsets you can imagine! Every day a different one. The view is espectacular. A must when in Chiclayo go to Pimentel beach.

Nicest beach we saw in Trujillo/Chiclayo. We saw fisherman out early and swimmers and surfers later. People fishing all the time. The pier is really long and you can walk all the way to end
