It is my first time to go solo. Ma-Cho Temple can be easily found through waze. The majestic beauty of the temple is a towering structure with a magnificent view of the West Philippine Sea. Spent 2 hours appreciating the beauty and tranquility of the surroundings.

Ma-Cho Temple was our last stop for La Union trip and we’re glad we went here and got to see a striking beauty. It’s situated along San Fernando highway which is accessible by public transport and has no entrance fee so give it a shot. Built in 1975, Ma-Cho Temple is dedicated to Matzu (Ma-Cho), the powerful Queen of Heavens... More

Our family has visited Ma-cho Temple several times & it has always given us the feeling of serenity & calmness. The temple itself is very impressive not only because if the intricate designs but because it has a breathtaking view of the sea. It fits perfectly because Mama Ma Cho is the goodness of the sea in Taoism belief parallel... More

From the jeep terminal in San Fernando, we took a tricycle going to Ma-Cho Temple. Driver asked for 40php fare, although I think the regular fare should be less than what we paid for. The tricycle didn't take us to the gate of the Temple. So we walked up a slightly inclined road. It was a 5 minute walk to... More

There place is definitely quiet and has a zen feel to it. With no people to talk to, you must simply rely on the signages provided (where to go, are you allowed to use this stairs or not, etc) They provided a nice view of the city though.
