The church is well worth a visit to experience the architecture and peaceful atmosphere inside. You don't need to be religious to visit it and to go inside and the people there were friendly and welcoming. They asked me where I was from and invited...More

If you guys love to roam around Cebu, please dont forget to drop by in one of the oldest church in Cebu, Metropolitan Cathedral. Place is so solemn, peace and you will really feel the spirit of Jesus Christ.

This church is not that busy and has this peaceful vibe compared to its neighbor church, Basilica del Santo Niño. English mass is conducted in the afternoon, the rest of the mass is conducted in Cebuano dialect.

It is a great church that shows rich history of Christianity in Cebu however unlike in the Basilica, security here is less strict so better watch out for your belongings.

The Metropolitan Cathedral has undergone a lot of changes over the years. And I must say for the good. It is a great place to hold your wedding and the adjoining convent has a reception area as well so you don't need to travel far.

This is one of Cebu's oldest and interesting designed church. They have mass which can be attended. It is located in Colon part of the city and not far from Santo Nino Cebu's most popular church to visit.

We attended 11:00 AM mass last Sunday, March 19, 2017. I always love this church since I was young, now visiting from New York, I was surprised that it was air conditioned, love it, with the heat outside really felt so good.
