The cheapest zoo you will ever find in cebu. The Entrance is 25.00 Pesos for adults and 10.00 for kids. If your going there by motorbike the payment is only 20.00 per head if you include drop-off than 40.00 Pesos. It's just a short visit you can see all the animals with the help of their tour guide. The place is really small but if you want to see and touch wild life like Python, crocodile and eagle than 25.00 Pesos or less than 50¢ is worth it.
The animals you will see there are:
* Good old Mr. crocodile that you can touch and have a picture with
* Eagles you can put on your arm or shoulder
*Python that they place on top of your body to massage
*Turkey running around freely
*Monkeys, wild birds, deer and others

This zoo is in desperate need of an upgrade. Money either private or public is needed to get this zoo on the road to health. You may find touring this site inappropriate for the kids.

Wasn't sure what to expect at the Cebu Zoo but the staff made this visit okay. Once I paid I took a quick look around. It's rather small. I did see pictures of visitors interacting with the animals, so I enquired about it. A zoo staff member asked which animals and went with me and took all my photos. Thank you~
Suggestions for owners/staff:
1. The animals need more attention. Water for example.
2. Sell foods suited to the animals' diet for visitors to purchase and feed the animals. This is win/win for customers and animals.

The Cebu Council should close this hell hole. The condition of most of the animals is shocking. You would have to see it to believe it. Animals kept like this in western countries would be attracting prison terms for their owners.Just close it down. The staff are uneducated obviously no training and a complete lack of empathy with their prisoners. Just close it down. Too much wrong to fix. Rescue these poor poor creatures . For Christ sake is this how you want Cebu Queen city of the south remember by foreign visitors. If this has been going on for 4 years as one reviewer has said then this city should be ashamed of it self. Just close it down. Come on Mr Mayor are you courageous or not. Every single day that goes by these creatures are suffering . Start a fund up and let donations go to transferring these poor poor animals somewhere else. Just close it down . Good on you Philippines thank you for showing me in real life what it was like 500 years ago. I took photos of every company that advertises in the zoo they will be named and shamed like never before.

It's now the fourth time in some years that we visit the Cebu Zoo. It is still horrible, and it seems that there is no change coming up at all. The management of this institution lacks financial means, so that the basic care for their 'prisoners' is below any level.
The Zoo has not enough staff to do what is needed, and the staff they have is not skilled to do the work efficiently.
The security measures are not sufficient, and the cages are not at all suitable for the residing animals.
I saw the tiger, locked up in a cage of two times his own body length, with a floor made of ironwire, with severe injuries at his feet. He tried to move a little, to find a better place to lie down, but he could barely stand on his feet.
A very willing and friendly guard climbed in the concrete basin, inhabited by a crocodile of about two meters, to toutch the animal. He invited a visitor to come in too, so the visitor also went in the cage. Nothing happend this time, but these incidents prove the lack of knowledge and experience of the staff.
The entrance fee is way too low, probably because of they fear that by increasing the fee fewer visitors would come.
Anyhow, something needs to be done, and perhaps you can help a bit too, by visiting them, and by giving a donation, so that the management sees that the public is involved and interested. Perhaps there is a responsibility too in other zoos in the world to look at this mess and to try to help as they can, to make this very needed initiative meaningful for the City of Cebu, their people and their children.
A Cultural capital as Metro Cebu needs a zoo for educational and economical reasons. Of course, this city needs money for thousands of other goals, but they need to install a manager who is able to upgrade this institution to an acceptable level, so that it shall no longer be a shame but another pearl on the crown of this remarkable and beautiful city.
So: go there, show your care and worries, and do something positive to change. Help!

Don't go it will break your heart to see the animals and the appalling conditions they have to endure. I took two young children with me and it was there first visit to a zoo so sad.

All the animals have been relocated to Carmen Cebu to New Adventure Park that's supposed to open by early 2018, but no exact date has been posted. Rumor has it that M Luiller has purchased assets and animals and relocated them to Carmen Cebu north of Danao City area

i felt very sorry for the starved animals and state of negligence they were. Most of the animals were apparently sick of something.
Not something i could recommend to animal lovers

The Zoo keepers are friendly but pitty the conditions the Animals are kept.
There are no tickets issued, there is a register hope the ticket collections go for the welfare of the animals, which I could'nt see.

The animals are mostly placed in a very small cage especially the tiger, not very appealing place, you will pity all animals.

Hello. We are planing to visit there on the 27th. I would like to ask if there are some food stalls or restaurant inside the zoo? Or we should bring our own snacks? Thank you :)

Just got back from a long vacation, sorry to read the question now, honestly there's no food stalls or restaurants there as you have found out if you have gone there already. Visitors need really to bring their own food or snacks
