We had an amazing time doing the vineyard boat tour. The owner Matt was a lot of fun and we learned a lot about the history of the area. The vineyards we visited were all great and the boat ride was gorgeous. Matt wore his mask at all times and enforced social distancing in a very responsible way that made us feel safe. I would definitely recommend to friends.

Captain Matt went above and beyond to arrange a customized wine tasting itinerary and charter for our group of four. Given the COVID situation, safety is on all our minds, and Matt made us feel at ease by putting in all the necessary precautions. He contacted wineries that were just beginning to reopen to make sure they were able to accommodate us. All in we stopped at 3 wineries, were made comfortable on the boat and had flexibility to change the schedule if needed based on weather or preference. I can't think of another place where you can go wine tasting by boat. Amazing! Kudos to Matt for delivering a wonderful, fun and safe experience during a challenging time.

Highly recommended. Matt was a great captain for our first wine tour by boat. The waves were a little choppy the morning of our tour that started at 1pm. Matt was great with communication throughout the morning and made the right call go out given the forecast was for the wind to die down. Sure enough it did and was an absolute beautiful day. The boat was extremely comfortable, like traveling in a floating living room. All of the wineries spoke very highly of Matt and were happy to accommodate our group.

Stayed at the lovely Rowland House Inn. Our Innkeeper suggested that our party of four take a boat cruise on the lake. I called the number listed on the website on Saturday morning ( 9:13 ) and got a voicemail that was full so I sent an email to book a sunset cruise during our stay. I had no response at 12:30 so our Innkeeper sent him a text trying to help us book. I did receive a confirmation email at 5:30pm for sunset cruise on Sunday. In his email Captain Matt confirmed the price and departure time. He stated that he would call me early Sunday morning to go over details. I did not receive a phone call Sunday morning. I called again to confirm the time and no answer but did leave a voicemail asking Captain Matt to again call me with the details. I never received a phone call back. At 1:06 PM the day of our sunset cruise, I received an email asking if we could change our reservation to 4:30 because “ he hadn’t realize that another group had previously booked our sunset cruise this evening”. Unfortunately we couldn’t take that cruise as this sunset cruise time slot was meant to be a surprise wedding proposal. Not only did I not get a phone call back as requested twice and was promised by Matt the captain of the boat, I never even received an apology. This was handled very unprofessionally!

My wife, grown children, and I took in the Wineries by Water tour with Bianconi Tours owner Matt on Cayuga Lake. While the weather was not ideal (intermittent showers), Matt was an exceptional host and more than made up for what the weather lacked. The boat has tarp sides and a top to keep you dry, and Matt was very efficient ferrying us between three different wineries on the western side of the lake. He was also quite adept at relaying the local history, which turned out to be pretty interesting. All in all it was a nice day…would definitely do it again.

My husband Matt and I were married at the Inns of Aurora last weekend. We had a ton of guest flying in for the wedding and most had never been to NY's wine/finger lake region before. We decided to book two private charters with Bianconi Tours/Captain Matt. Matt was extremely easy to communicate with to book the private tours, which we did about 6 months prior to our wedding weekend and always very responsive. Our guests LOVED the tour so much so that they want to return next year and do the tour again : ) Highly recommend!!

We went for a sunset cruise last night and it was fantastic. Matt made us feel like we were going for a nice boat ride with old friends. He was an absolute pleasure to meet and talk with. You can tell from his describing the history of the lake that he is very proud of his home town and with good reason. I would book another trip with him in a minute.

I booked this wine tour cruise as part of a mini reunion with my three roommates from Ithaca College. We had never visited wineries by boat before, and all agreed it is the way to go from now on! Captain Matt was friendly, funny, and knowledgable from start to finish. We felt like VIPs at each winery as he made reservations for us in advance and has great relationships with the owners. Thank you for such a relaxing and enjoyable experience!

We were able to combine a wine tasting cruise with a sunset cruise, for an extra-long day on the water. Even the weather cooperated, with just a little chop early in the cruise. Matt seemed to know every detail about Aurora and its history, but he also knew when to let us enjoy the lake. If/when we return to the area, we’ll definitely sail with him again. It was an easy drive to Aurora from our hotel in Ithaca.

We booked the winery cruise a week before and got the last two spots available. Book early, Numbers are limited, particularly now, during Covid. Six of us on the boat, three couples. The boat docks in Aurora so is easy to get to if you are staying at one of the Inns. If you're not, parking is easy. Matt is an entertaining host while traveling and quite accommodating. The wineries to which we went were very nice and very different. A very worthwhile day
