This TV tower has the most beautiful view of the city. The controls are very rigorous, but you have the ability to leave things that should not be entered. You must provide a passport at the entrance to get your ticket. The price for an adult ticket is 900 rubles if you enter by 11 am, after that it is 1200 rubles. The weekends cost 1400 rubles. Students have a discount if they have an ISCI card. Below the platform, there are 2 restaurants and a cafe where you can have a coffee with the most beautiful view or dine at one of the Russian specialties. On the platform itself, there is a section that has a glass floor where you can picture yourself standing 337 meters above the ground.

I've visited the tower in 1972 (thanks to my grandpa - it was his idea and performance). My wife has had an attempt in late 80-ies, but it didn't fell through. So, present day decision was - we'll make it now. As a family, with our daughter accompanying. Their first time . Whilst it was wife's Birthday, we've decided to add a meal on a 330m height. The attraction is still the same, which pleased me (lot of Soviet things were good, this one is no exception). Yes, present day adds a tighter security - it takes a bit of your time, but once you're "up and circling", the rest is of no matter. If you coordinate your logistics yourself, you don't see obstacles - you pace them through. The ongoing corona-virus experience is to the benefit: less people admitted, tighter medical measures introduced and being run. I'm glad we've had it - and not taken the "let's better delay it" stance - we don't know what tomorrow brings, and what public place will be shut down then. Admission ticket is pricey, but meal is quite democratic (for the height where it is served). Overall service is good and smooth.

Once you get to the highest available floor for visitors (hight: 337 m), you can have a very good view over the Moscow city. I guess a sunny day would be the best time to visit this place. Looking down the glass floor is the best, kind of scary experience you might have there. .... Two successive security check at the entrance (just like the airports) is too much!

On the day we visited VDKHn we boarded monorail (metro line 13) a few meters from the URSS Canada pavilion and upon reaching the TV station we saw the day had become even more foggy and it had engulfed the upper third of the tower so we left to do the subway stations touring.

Must see. Place with great history of TV in Russia. Remember, prior online booking will be better to avoid disappointment. A good clear sunny day will give you a wonderful panorama of Moscow city.
