I finally got around to visiting the Darwin museum here in Moscow. Well worth it! The little one loved seeing all manner of animals up close. The layout and dioramas were well done. I suppose my only complaint is a minor one, and not one that is the museum's fault. A number of animals are in poor state. This is... More

This is a salvation - especially in bad weather when hours at the playground are not an option. There are a range of exhibits and spaces, it makes a great day out (full half day of activity) for kids - even the very young. There is a special interactive exhibition aimed at young children, and that is really great. The... More

My 7 year olds loved strolling through Darwin Museum. The collection of stuffed animals was just amazing. Don't miss interactive center. Skip the movie if don't have time, was not impressed with the quality, and skip the germs of multi-use dirty glasses they provide.

The museum is very nicely done with many interactive corners. Visitors may learn or refresh many useful information and/ or just enjoy the exhibitions. You´ll find there many many animals of all species; you can touch the tooth of Tyrannosaurus Rex and a mammoth! A highlight to pick up - short film presented in the main hall (three floors high)... I visited with my 7 year old daughter and we both had a great time... interactive museum with information about the earth, it's inhabitants and Darwin's theory about the evolution. Cave men and early species.. stuffed animals but nothing creepy :)

Not the easiest of places to find, and could do with a facelift on the outside. But once inside the building, it had a wealth of very good exhibits.

Liked: great Collection of animals from around the world; good introduction to theory of evolution. Even the youngest chilldren will find interesting things to see. However: not so much information in English; the cafeteria was a bit disappointing

Strange that ussr-style staff was more interested in forbidding photoshooting rather than trying to help to find way to next room. Some things have absolutely nothing to do with Darwin and evolution at all. But since there are really plenty of different things - you can find something interesting for you too.

If you are interestet in evolution this museum is a must. I shows many interesting things about evolution. In the first room you can learn about the history of the museum. The next room shows animals that lives in many different enviroments, and what they develop, to live there. There is a big exibition about microevolution. This is the most... More
