and it truly is. The destructive power is phenomenal. There was a 6.5 earthquake the day before our arrival. So many volcanoes along the coast. We were fortunate to see the volcano on a clear blue sky day. An amazing part of the world

Its not an easy hike up Volcano Mutnovsky, but its all worth the effort. The calderas are so gorgeous.
