The Cathedral is deconsecrated. The inside is not especially interesting except for the organ, which is quite enormous elabotarately decorated with amusing putti holding musical instruments. Quite the biggest organ I have seen. We were treated to a brief organ recital which was excellent. It...More

This place has a great historical background. Today however, rather than a place of worship, it is a musical place. Still interesting to see and explore.

If you are interested in organ music you can listen to it and imagine youself in the place of Immanuel Kant who did the same several centuries ago.

The cathedral has organ, the biggest in Russia. Great concerts are twice a day, really worth listening to. German heritage, recently restored.
