Novgorod has one of the oldest Kremlins in Russia and it is a great place to visit. The museums inside are excellent and the Cathedral a joy. Millennium Monument is very impressive. Well worth a few hours.

The Kremlin was easily accessible and free. The tourist information was very helpful although the map included very little detail.

There is a unique historical and spiritual object and so beautiful natural park to spend not less 3 hours there. Definitely don't miss and take a boat trip there as well!

Novgorod may be of significant historical importance but the Kremlin compares unfavourably to that of Moscow. It is a nice place for a quiet walk through and there is an impressive bell sculpture as a focal point but otherwise there isn't that much to see....More

It's the most important thing to see in Novgorod, free time to visit, and it's always empty unlike the one in Moscow, it's on the view on the lake, you can also have beautiful pictures as well

It is located in the left bank and is the heart of Novgorod. It was very small and made of wood but grew larger and made of bricks because of St.Sophia´s cathedral . An enjoyable place to wander and peace and silence is all around!!!!!!

2 days will give you ample time to see the sites and to relax. Always beneficial with a local guide, but not necessary. I cannot recommend any hotel. Enjoy your stay.
