There is so much to see in this museum. We just wandered around and got to most of the rooms in 1 day, but not all. I'd recommend researching a little bit ahead of time to see what things you know you want to go to so that you don't miss them. We chose the audio tour option, so when... More

You cannot visit this city without seeing the Winter Palace. Truly amazing insight into the life of Russian royalty. Wonderful exhibits and great views of the river. Top tip pre book your tickets online to avoid queue.

This a wonderfull museum and with artwork from many places and different times, But you have to check in the website what you want to see because it have such a big variety of things that many things may not be your taste. The point is: choose first what you want and go for it and enjoy

Winter Palace! Magnificent palace! The best palace interiors in Europe, a rich collection of paintings, sculptures, tapestries, furniture, home decor items. None palace of none monarchy in Europe can’t be compared with the Winter Palace. Fabrics of the best Flemish, English, Italian artists adorn the Hermitage walls. It is impossible to break away from this beauty. We spent the whole... More

To the see the excess of the various Romanov Families and Russian Aristocracy throughout the ages is truly awe inspiring. The art work and rooms are never ending quite hard on young legs and can be a bit overwhelming for even history buff teenagers. Advisable to get two day pass and plan your visit. Café is a pleasant surprise and... More

The museum is amazing with countless amazing artifacts. The building itself is stunning. A warning though, this place is huge with countless displays, if you can get a map do that as there are so many sections that to see them all will take a whole day. It is better to prioritise what you want to see and to spend... More

I visited the museum on the summer, so the queue was very long since early in the morning. Very crowded inside so we couldn't... More

We plan a whole day for visiting the museum (with tickets bought upfront online - which i can only recommend) and was by far not enogh! The 4 floors building is huge and you need to bring a lot of patience and interes with you. Taking pictures are aloud almost in every room and a map of the museum is... More

Outstanding artwork. A must see when in St. Petersburg. We had a private tour in the evening arranged through our cruise ship. That is the best way of viewing the artwork with an informative guide. Be prepared, it is not air-conditioned> If you can, visit over a couple days to see more of the treasures.
