Despite our bad timing for the visit to a Summer garden, much was still in bloom, and we had a lovely stroll around the gardens. This is clearly a favourite pastime of the locals over the weekend, and there are a few options for a drink or a snack.

Beautiful garden to walk around when the weather is nice. Excellent for a romantic stroll. They sell fresh fruits, soft drinks and Ice cream inside the garden. There are several fountains and mazes to take pictures of.

This park is located on the island between the Fontanka River, Moika River, the Swan Canal and Kutuzov Embankment. Here, in the northern tip of the island, beside the Fontanka River, is situated Summer Palace of Peter the Great. We liked this Summer Park a lot and made in it some beautiful promenades. It is not big as the Peterhof... More

If you have a clear day while in St. Petersburg, take the boat out to the Peterhof Palace & Garden, but be prepared to stand in line and spend lots of money. Each building and part of the gardens are a separate fee, so prioritize. Also, the food options are limited, so bring snacks or a picnic lunch if you... More

This pretty garden includes various fountains, trails, statues and a small lake. It includes even a small and pleasant coffee house. Sit, eat and drink there and enjoy im peace everything. The fence is famous but I liked more the relatively small garden size walking along among fountains. It is easy reachable as being close to the city center, not... More

I was there on a sunny day in September. It is beautiful and peaceful place. It is the enjoyable place where Russian aristocracy, including imperators, used to stroll and appreciate the beauty of this garden.

We first went by this site on our boat tour and then were taken here by our guide. There is a modest palace near the center of the park and formal European style gardens throughout. There is a high tree canopy over much of the park making it cool and shaded. This is a great attraction walkably close to downtown... More

What a delightful surprise to discover this garden on our way to somewhere else. It is beautifully designed and exquisitely maintained. You might be walking through an 18th century painting by the great Hubert Robert. Prettiest garden I have seen in Europe.

As we glided by on our boat cruise, we were surprised to learn that this was St Petersburg’s first palace. It is just a modest, two story building - not pretentious at all. It was built for Peter the Great from 1710 to 1714. The Summer Palace sits in the summer garden’s northeast corner. The Summer Palace has hardly been... More
