A fun place to shop with plenty of bargains to be found. The area is buzzing at night with a lot of people. Remember to barter. Plenty of restaurants above the shops. Definitely worth a visit.

This is a pedestrian street is busy and has the old world charm. This has shops and restaurants now built on the old 1000 year old buildings. The shops sell local delicacies, food, clothes , souvenirs. It is interesting and quirky and worth a walk...More

It is a popular shopping area for the locals. The clothes and foods sold here are very cheap. While it is called "pedestrian street", it is crowded with people, bikes and cars. I soon lost my interest in browsing the area.

A pleasant and interesting make up of shops. Good for getting some of the latest stuff. We thought it was expensive for what you got. Some historical features in the street showing make up of roads from several hundred years ago. Lots of people come...More

It's similar to Beijing Road, but Beijing Road has more foreign and Western shops. Shangjiaxiu St, on the contrary, has more Chinese or Asian stores catering mostly to the tastes of the local people. In other words, it’s full of small food stalls and local...More

Not as expected, only traditional Chinese food. It's good to see, but won't do it again. Beijing Rd is much nicer.

I personally feel that this place is over rated. The stalls there sells almost similar things if not the same.

Spend a Couple of hours there strolling and mingling with the locals there. Things are relatively cheaper here but may not appeal to many. Good place to soak and mingled with the locals but don't expect fantastic services

It is about an hour by Subway. Travel from Airport subway station you will have to change line at Yantang station to take Line 6 and alight at Culture Park station.
