This garden is full of ancient Cantonese history. It takes about 90 minutes from central Guangzhou by bus. Feeding the fish creates quite an experience of the quantity and size of them in an eating frenzy! There are boat rides available. The cultural and architectural characteristics of ancient canton need to be seen...there so beautiful! This garden is a photographers... More

The place has beautiful and peaceful scenery although it took quite some time to travel here. I took bus no. 67 from Shiqiao metro station and the trip is around 1 hour bus ride. Despite long travel time and pricey ticket (54 RMB each), this place is worth of your time.

Principally built around some impressive water features with stylised traditional type buildings and bridges the gardens provide a calm and picturesque respite from the hustle and bustle of Guangzhou city. The one let down for me were the fake grottos with their coloured lighting seeming a bit tacky amidst otherwise well constructed features. There are hundreds, if not thousands of... More

Guangdong, one of the most famous four gardens , said it mainly is to look at the building and garden, whether it is suitable for to go to the spring, summer, autumn and winter. This garden in GuangZhou is a scenic spot to go, and is similar with lingnan impression of the university city garden, full of amorous feelings of... More

This garden is less natural vs. the gardens of Suzhou but it is still interesting. There are a lot of beautiful art craftings and there are some museum exhibits. Combine this ticket with nearby Nanyue and if possible, look for combined discounts on the internet.

The original garden was destroyed. The garden that we visit now is a reconstructed one. It is large and elegant. When I stepped into the garden I had a feeling of how the emperor’s garden must have looked like. The park is divided into many sections. The front gate is a grand and remarkable art work with a white stone... More

We went on a rainy/cloudy day, but it was still a beautiful walk. So many photo ops and we were so happy there wasn't too many people, so we got a lot of great photos, even in the rain. We stayed in tianhe district, which was a good 45 min drive (~100RMB) to Baomo Garden, but it was so worth... More

This is my 2nd time to this place. Not as excited as the first time. If you go in the summer, kids can catch fishes. The funniest thing to do is to feed the fish.it is a must do. Don't buy the fish food outside the park.. you can get double the volume if you buy inside the park. There... More

We visited Baomo scenery in March 2016. We spent over half a day there with our three kids (5, 4 and 1 year old). The place is a stylised Chinese gardens with lots of koi in large ponds, ornamental bridges and walkways. In spite of being a bit overdone in some places (faux stalactites anyone?), it provides for a truly... More
