We saw the pagodas during the day and it was like any other pagoda but when we came back at night and saw the lit up pagodas, it was a sight to behold. What made it even more special was to see the beautiful reflection of the Pagodas on a very calm river.

The two best things are to see the pagodas more closely, you also have a small show at the end of the short excursion, but the most interesting part is the Cormorant Birds fish and the fisherman that accompany them. The will also give you an explanation of what the pagodas is and the history behind the Cormorant.

So been here twice in the past 2 years. This time was during Chinese new year and the pagodas were as nice as the previous visit. A must see when visiting Guilin and is near the pedestrian street and Riverside.

The Silver and Gold pagoda on the lake are not historical. They are made for tourist. You can take a boat ride aorund the lake for dinner and watch the mountains and the lite up pagoda at night. Very touristy so a drive by ro quick stop is more than enough

While in Guilin, you can not miss the two pagodas that have become a symbol of the city. They are illuminated in silver and gold lighting during the night, resempling a moon and a sun. If you remotelly like photography, you will be adore taking night-time photos of these architectural wonders. Walk aroun the lake in order to get different... More

After checking into our hotel we took a walk and came across this park. The gardens were very nice and it had a nice calming affect on you. We stopped and had some tea in the old tea house and in the evening we walked around again as the park has coloured lights in the gardens and stopped to watch... More

The "Twin Pagodas" is a well know land mark for many who visit Guilin. During the day, they appear old and ancient but at night they and the surrounding areas are lighted with Color lights appearing like fairy-land. They are in the Lake Sanhu which is near to the Lijiang Waterfall Garden Hotel in "Elephant Trunk Hill" (Siang Pi Shan).... More

Nothing special during the day but with the lights at night they are really pretty. Pretty centrally located so worth going to get a picture.

Enjoy an easy, beautiful walk on the river side. All of the cultural spots are lit up after dark along the way. There were some people playing music in various spots. Some local ladies will be out square dancing. I walked from the Waterfall Hotel to the Old City Arch. This was about a 20 min 1 way walk. You... More
