We went to the Reed Flute Cave whilst visiting Guilin. It is not far out of town and the chilly 19C inside is a welcome break from the 32 C outside. It is a big cave with a sort of horseshoe route though it. Entry...More

Easy walk to get inside the caves. Beautifully lit with coloured lights. It was much cooler inside particular during summer months. Had a short movie projected inside the cave ceiling and another on the wall which was great to see.

Impressive cave system but the colored lighting made it look fake. Were really tired when we visited too as we had been up since 4:30am to catch our flight to Guilin.

The cave itself is magnificent, almost a natural wonder. However, the interior lighting design is so ugly that it ruins the cave's natural beauty. The tour lasted about one hour, but it seemed shorter as our guide provided excellent service. Truly wish whoever designed the...More

Our guide from China Culture Tours, Linda, took me and my son to this spectacular cavern. It is well lit and filled with unusual rock formations and sparkling minerals. It has been visited by world dignitaries and it is easy to see why. There is...More

Comparable to anything we've seen in Europe. Stunning and dramatic creations and panoramas of stalactites and stalagmites. Commentary in Chinese only. Very little english signage but you can't go far wrong. Plenty of photo stops while underground plus organised shoots for them to take your...More

My wife really enjoyed the lighting effects in this cave. We were there during monsoon season so the cave was flooded the day after we visited so keep this kind of thing in mind.

Hi, I am planning on taking a taxi from my hotel the Lijiang Waterfall to the Reed Flute Cave. I would like to know will I be able to catch a taxi back to the hotel? Planning on doing this solo.
