This square is the city center of Guilin. It's surrounded by numerous establishments, banks, department stores, shops, restaurants, walking street, McDonald's, KFC, etc. The walking route for the two rivers and four lakes (Sun and Moon Tower) is right there. Very convenient for public transport.

The vibrant center of the city. Close to "Walking Street" and major shopping centers. THE place to view the Waterfall Hotel nightly waterfall display.

Well, It is pretty, but so much more to see here, explore the countryside, take a bus ride, check out the Pagodas. People are friendly and plenty to see, Central Square can be passed up to spend time off the beaten track!

The Central Square, or City Center, is not really an attraction, per se. However, it is the heart of the city around which are many shops, restaurants, and attractions. Usually, it is sensory overload as I walk amongst thousands of people bustling about with so many sites and smells. If you come to Guilin, I would recommend starting here. Within... More

There is nothing special about this square. We met two persons both claimed they running a travel agency and asked us about our plans. We trid some street foods there and the price and quality was ok. Very expensive shoping area (pedestrian only street) is near by.

Its a huge concrete area - outer edges has the kiddie rides, souvenir stands and food carts but this huge space can be characterized as a parking lot. Some ballroom dancing happens in the evening but when we went, there was nothing else happening. Amazing how many people were just walking around seemingly aimlessly. As other posters mentioned, it right... More

I only know thing to do beside the square: shopping(Zhengyang street, niko niko do), eating(The Congee City Restaurant, Left bank restaurant), hotel(Water-fall hotel), attractions(Two rivers and four lakes, elephant hill park). What to do on Guilin Central Square, I don't know!

For those seeking cheap clothing, snacks, and a good smooshing via crowds, Guilin Central Square is the place to be! It's an unimpressive city-block of paved concrete and a few street lights, with innumerable food stalls to the west and stairs down to the underground markets placed at each corner of the square. Unless you're bored enough with the magnificent... More

Guilin Central Square is located in the center of Guilin downtown. It is not far from Zhengyang pedestrian street and there are also a undergroud shopping mall under the square. The prices for good in the mall is very cheap. And I had brought many clothes during my Guilin tour. At night about 8:00, I saw the waterfall on the... More
